This project is to create a naturalized meadow with pollinator-friendly plant species in the South Garden at Point Ellice House. Kelly Black, the Executive Director, gave us a tour of the grounds and a brief history of the gardens. The restoration work that has been done over the last couple years really is quite impressive; if you have not visited the site in the past few years, I encourage you to do so. There is one gardener on-site but, as is the case with so many other gardens, volunteers do the bulk of the work. If you would like to help with the on-going restoration work please see here for more information.
The House is open on weekends during the summer.
