This grant will be used to purchase plants for the Pollinator and Indigenous Plant Garden on land adjacent to the Colwood City Hall, being developed with First Nations Elders, local nurseries, and Camosun students.
Barbara, from the Community Garden, welcomed us and Jasper, the young man who is the driving force behind the project, took us through the new garden and talked to us about some of the plantings already in place as well as their plans for the future. Mayor Rob Martin joined us for the ceremony.
