To commemorate the Victoria Horticultural Society’s (VHS) centenary and its ‘100 Trees’ initiative, Acting Mayor Alto, assisted by VHS President Mike McHugh, planted a new Douglas Fir in Beacon Hill Park’s Douglas Fir Grove on December 14th, 2021.
A number of VHS Members attended on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny afternoon. Also present were Kelly-Anne Malcolmson and city staff.
