Horticulture Centre of the Pacific (HCP) Tree Planting Ceremony
Six VHS Members generously donated trees to the HCP reforestation programme as part of the ‘100 Trees’ initiative. On Friday November 12th, 2021, those who were able to do so joined students from the graduating class of 2021 to plant Garry Oaks in the Conservation Park.
The students were very pleased to be involved in this project, and it was an enjoyable, meaningful morning.
Present were VHS Members Maureen Adams, Dick Bullard, Barbara Harris, Mike McHugh & Ron Savoy and Linda Miller. Linda Petite (Head Gardener) and Jane Tice (Instructor) represented HCP.
