Colwood Tree Planting Ceremony
On Thursday October 21st Colwood Mayor Rob Martin and VHS President Mike McHugh planted the first of our “municipal” trees as part of our centenary ‘100 Trees’ initiative. A lovely dogwood (‘Eddie’s White Wonder’) will provide welcome shade for a bench in Seashell Park, in the Latoria Creek Park neighbourhood.
Also present were Sandra Russell (Communications Manager), Gordon Beauvillier, Rob Fisher and Trevor Harrison (from the Parks Department) and VHS Members Maureen Adams, Jean Lawrence, Pat McGuire, Ron Savoy, Trudy and Bob Trotter and Gail Wilson.
