Saanich Tree Planting Ceremony
On Thursday November 4th, Saanich Mayor Fred Hanes, Councillor Susan Brice, VHS President Mike McHugh and Maureen Adams planted a Garry Oak in the grounds of Saanich Municipal Hall as part of the VHS centenary ‘100 Trees’ initiative.
Also present were Eva Riccius (Senior Manager of Parks), Suzanne Samborski (Director of Parks and Recreation), Jill and Jason from Saanich Parks and VHS Members Jean Lawrence, Pat McGuire and Ron Savoy.
