NATURAL HISTORY NIGHT (on Zoom): Bumble Bees of British Columbia: Big, Bumbly and Beleaguered
Tuesday, November 10, 2020 –
The Victoria Natural History Society Presents:
Bumble Bees of British Columbia: Big, Bumbly and Beleaguered
A short introduction to bumble bees, the bumble bees of British Columbia, and specifically some common bumblers of Vancouver Island. Some species are at risk and are listed under the federal Species at Risk Act. Syd Cannings will talk about the declines of these species and the probable causes of the declines, and what we can do to change things. Many of you may participate in bird monitoring programs, and naturalists can help monitor the status of bees as well.
